Services
At NHC Maryland Heights we have a 50 bed rehabilitation unit specializing in Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapy. We also have a working kitchen on the rehabilitation unit to work with patients to ensure a safe return to home. Patients are taken to the grocery store by a therapist if they are going home alone to ensure that they are able to and will be able return to their active life after rehabilitation. We also have two small secured units for patients with dementia. The two units allow us to help with the appropriate staging to ensure the most quality of life is provided. Each of the units have their own gardens and courtyards that the patients are encouraged to help tend to.
NHC Maryland Heights also serves our long term patients who maintain an active life within the center and the community. There is an involved resident council and patient mentors. We use the CAPS philosophy with embracing animals, plants and children as well as having community volunteers to create a very active life style for our long term patients.
